Sunny Ridge is recognized as one of the premium quality berry producers situated in some of the best berry-growing regions in the country: the Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley in Victoria with 3.5 square kilometer total land area. The business started life as a strawberry producer but over the last few years has expanded into the production of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. Now Sunny Ridge is recognized as one of the largest berry producers and growing some of the best quality berries on the market in Australia.

Increased health-consciousness is expected to have a positive effect on demand for strawberries in the next five years. Based on projected population growth, consumption per capita, and economic growth, the market for strawberries in Australia is expected to double in size by 2026, creating demand for an extra 69m kg of strawberries. Sunny Ridge projects that the already established blueberry plants on the Sunshine Coast farms will yield approximately 125,000kg in FY2016.

The tourism assets of the business have also been cleverly developed to diversify the income streams of Sunny Ridge. The self-picking fields and associated café and produce store make for one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Mornington Peninsula, with visitor numbers nearing 500,000 a year.
