On 21st November, 2006, Shenzhen Munipical Party Standing Committee, Deputy Mayor Mr. Lv Ruifeng met Australian Consul General to Guangzhou Mr. Kevin Magee and Waratah Board Chairman Mr. Kenny Zhang in Shenzhen. The two sides reached a consensus on constructing a Sino-Australia Commercial and Cultural Centre in Shenzhen to better serve Australian multinational companies’ offices, financial institutions, tourism etc. The meeting also mentioned the intention of the cooperation between University of Melbourne and Shenzhen University.
